From Pain >To Purpose
The Creator’s Way

A native of Oakland, California, Corey Damon Lillard grew up in a family of 8 in East Oakland during the 1980’s—a very poignant & pivotal time in the city.

During this time, Corey experienced many setbacks and hardships throughout his childhood. At the age of 27, he realized he had an incredible story to share of triumph & transformation.

Corey’s passion for helping people, especially the youth in Oakland, led him to write and publish his story to uplift and educate people on how to overcome their own obstacles.

Corey believes in the importance of building strength through:

Mind + Body + Spirit

He teaches others how to connect mental & spiritual strength with physical vigor—through physical training & body building.

  • “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;  Courage to change the things I can; And wisdom to know the difference.”

The mind is a genius, which absorbs everything around you and translates that into what you know, how you act, and how you view the world.

    Your Environment Controls Your Energy

The environment you are in will determine the amount of energy you will need to feel secure. If you are on a treadmill that is running at 10 miles an hour, you must run at that speed too, or you will fall off.

Or imagine this example: You are in a lake that is 99 feet deep, and all you have is your body to keep you from drowning. If you don’t choose to swim, your mind will let you know that you are going to die. So, assuming you don’t want to die, either you are going to swim, or you are going to get out of the water.

It’s the same with your environment. Either you adapt to a situation, or you remove yourself from it. If you are ever in a room of people who are not good for you, to feel comfortable you have to become just like them. If you have friends who do bad things, to feel comfortable around them, you will do those bad things, too. So, stay away from all that causes you harm. If you don’t, you will have to do harm to feel comfortable in that space.

  • Life starts to form inside the womb. The first feelings you have in there are warmth and cold. Then you learn to feel secure, but sometimes uncomfortable. After that, you learn vibration, sound, and to link that to all your feelings. Soon, you start to understand the fundamentals of life.

After you are born, you receive unlimited senses to help you develop your perfect form and protect your body from everything that can harm it. You develop your true potential because the Creator makes us all perfect.

The key to life is the Creator’s way and the natural foods that were provided for us. You are free to do as you please, but you should not do anything and everything. Remember: your brain was given to you, and it only knows what you know. Never lose sight of what you do, because your output is all that you see.

After birth, you see images to link to the words and feelings that you felt inside the womb: security, comfort, warmth, cold, vibration, and sounds. These feelings together form one image, which is the one that you place in your mind.

The word love that you hear in the world does not have the same feeling you felt in the womb, which had more feelings, more happiness, and more security. Then you see the love others show you, and you develop a different view of what love is. The “love” you see out in the world sometimes is totally without feeling. It’s just words.

All you must do is believe strongly in yourself. You are truly blessed and deserve a lot of credit for making it in life this far. Stay strong and believe in yourself. I believe in you, and I know you are going to be great in life. Believing in yourself is believing in the Creator.

  • A Blessed & Loving Heart

Love is gracious & merciful. Blessed are understanding & forgiveness.

A blessed and loving heart, which is the engine of your life, is the only heart you should want to have. A blessed and loving heart is gracious, merciful, and loaded with compassion for the pain of others. Your heart should be at peace. Your heart should always give peace with the words and actions that it produces. Your heart should make sure that everything you say and do will make people feel better. That means you should be compassionate toward good people, bad people, and every type of people in between, because you have a blessed and loving engine, your heart. With a heart like that, you will live a life that is blessed and peaceful.
